
Durban Curry is a popular South African condiment with a history tied to the Indian population of Durban. This red curry blend is a medium weight paste and has a well balance heat level. It is a complex blend of twenty-seven ingredients including fresh ginger, chilies, lemongrass and a generous array of freshly toasted spices. We even added fresh curry leaves, a unique tropical ingredient native to India. The curry is a relatively mild and slightly sweet curry paste with predominant coconut tones. Extending with coconut milk produces an authentic South Indian curry perfect as a sauce base for seafood or chicken, as a seasoning in stews or as a marinade.
